- Transfer Molded Pulp: Transfer molded pulp is a type of molded pulp that is made using a two-step process. In the first step, the pulp fibers are molded into a “preform” or intermediate shape using a high-pressure molding process. In the second step, the preform is transferred to a separate mold where it is finished into the final product shape using a lower-pressure molding process. Transfer molded pulp products are known for their precise shapes and fine details, and are commonly used for decorative and display applications.
- Processed Molded Pulp: Processed molded pulp is a type of molded pulp that has undergone additional processing steps to enhance its properties and performance. This can include treatments like coating, laminating, or adding additional layers of pulp. Processed molded pulp products are commonly used for high-end packaging and display applications.
